Exploring the Aromatherapeutic Properties and Benefits of Zdravetz Essential Oil

The Bulgarian name of Zdravetz (Geranium) is not coincidentally associated with the word ‘Health.’ It has been an integral part of traditional herbal medicine since ancient times due to its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiviral, and relaxing properties.

Common Zdravetz (Geranium macrorrhizum) is a perennial plant belonging to the Geranium family (Geraniaceae). It is widespread in Southern and Eastern Europe. An aromatic Zdravetz bouquet, tied with a red thread, is present in folklore and religious customs symbolizing health and longevity.

Discover how you can incorporate Zdravetz Essential Oil into your aromatherapy routine.

100% Natural Composition

Zdravetz Essential Oil is obtained through steam distillation of leaves from wild-growing Zdravets (Geranium Macrorrhizum) and is a 10% solution in Organic Jojoba. It is 100% organic certified and complies with the ISO 16128-1:2018 standard.

Zdravetz oil contains azulene, known for its potent anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, and calming effects. Its main component is the terpene germacrone, which possesses powerful anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antimicrobial, insecticidal, and neuroprotective properties. It acts as an antioxidant and enhances cellular regeneration. Additionally, the essential oil contains flavonoids, tannins, phenols, vitamin C, and more.
